Sportdigital Fussball, the German sports broadcaster, has renewed its long-standing rights deal for the Dutch Eredivisie, ensuring coverage of the top-tier Dutch competition for another three seasons.
The agreement secures every Eredivisie match across all 34 rounds each season, alongside broadcast rights for the KNVB Cup and Dutch Super Cup, running until the conclusion of the 2027-28 campaign.
A Long-Running Partnership
Sportdigital has held Eredivisie rights in Germany since the 2010-11 season, making it the broadcaster’s longest-running rights partnership.
Managing director Bendix Eisermann underlined the value of the Dutch league to Sportdigital’s programming mix:
“The Eredivisie is part of Sportdigital’s DNA. For 15 years, we have achieved strong audience figures with the Dutch league, the cup, and the Super Cup. We look forward to another three years with this attractive perennial favourite of our football programme.”
The Eredivisie deal follows Sportdigital’s recent renewal of rights to Poland’s Ekstraklasa, further strengthening its European football offering.
Broader Rights Portfolio
Sportdigital Fussball operates as a 24/7 football-dedicated channel in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), distributed via platforms including Sky Deutschland, Vodafone, Magenta TV, and Zattoo.
The broadcaster’s soccer portfolio includes a mix of international properties such as:
- Portugal’s Primeira Liga
- Spain’s Copa del Rey
- North America’s MLS
- Japan’s J.League
- The Scottish Premiership
- The AFC Champions League
By combining top European leagues with emerging markets, Sportdigital positions itself as a hub for diverse, global football coverage.
