In what marks a pivotal moment for the enterprise AI space, Palantir Technologies has surpassed the $1 billion mark in quarterly revenue for the first time, underscoring the accelerating demand for its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) — particularly within the U.S. market. The company reported total revenue of $1.004 billion for Q2 2025, a 48% year-on-year increase and a 14% uplift from the previous quarter.
This explosive growth is being driven overwhelmingly by domestic momentum. Palantir’s U.S. commercial business nearly doubled, surging 93% compared to the same quarter last year, while government contracts within the U.S. also grew significantly — up 53% year-on-year. In total, U.S. revenue reached $733 million for the quarter, now accounting for 73% of the company’s global income, compared to 64% at this time last year.
Operational and Financial Highlights
Palantir posted $811 million in gross profit, with income from operations climbing to $269 million — more than doubling year-on-year. On an adjusted basis, which strips out stock-based compensation and related expenses, operational income reached $464 million. Adjusted EBITDA stood at $471 million, reflecting the scale efficiencies now embedded in Palantir’s AI-centric delivery model.
International Growth Remains Mixed
While Palantir’s U.S. operations are scaling rapidly, performance outside North America remains uneven. International revenue grew modestly — up 17% to $270 million — with gains driven by its government contracts, especially in the UK. Revenue from its international government segment rose 37%, reflecting strategic defence and health deployments in Europe.
However, its international commercial arm continues to lag, posting a 3% decline in quarterly revenue, suggesting structural or adoption-related frictions in markets such as Germany and France. Palantir’s leadership has been vocal about these headwinds, often pointing to regulatory rigidity and cultural inertia as impediments to AI deployment abroad.
A Tale of Two Approaches: U.S. vs. Europe
CEO Alex Karp has framed the divergence in performance as not just economic, but philosophical. Describing America as “very open to value creation,” he emphasized the U.S.’s adaptability and appetite for innovation — particularly in contrast with markets where institutional practices remain “etched in stone.”
This sentiment gains further weight when considered against the backdrop of policy divergence. The U.S. recently unveiled its AI Action Plan — a deregulatory blueprint to stimulate faster innovation. Meanwhile, the EU’s AI Act has adopted a more cautious, compliance-heavy stance, which could limit the speed at which platforms like Palantir’s AIP scale across the continent.
Outlook: Bigger Bets on Home Soil
Palantir’s management has revised full-year guidance upwards to a range of $4.142 billion to $4.150 billion, signaling a 45% year-on-year growth forecast — its most ambitious to date. With AIP at the center of its value proposition and the U.S. market providing a highly fertile operating environment, Palantir is positioning itself less as a global AI generalist and more as a national AI powerhouse with international extensions.
One exception in the international narrative is the UK — a key partner in defence and public health domains — which continues to serve as Palantir’s growth anchor outside the U.S. As American tech continues to pull ahead in enterprise AI implementation, Palantir’s evolving geographic tilt reflects the deeper structural divide between proactive innovation ecosystems and cautious regulatory landscapes.
365247 Take:
Palantir’s Q2 results are more than just a milestone — they’re a reflection of a broader geo-tech split. In the race to scale AI at speed, the company is leaning into deregulated markets with a proven appetite for transformation. For global tech strategists, this sets the tone: alignment with policy velocity is just as crucial as product excellence.
