Macau’s M Plus has locked in exclusive broadcasting rights to two of English football’s most prestigious competitions — the Premier League and the FA Cup — for the next three seasons, covering 2025-26 through 2027-28.
The deal gives M Plus the sole rights to deliver live coverage of every Premier League and FA Cup match through its M Plus app, with commentary available in both English and Cantonese. Fans will also have access to highlights, news updates, and in-depth post-match analysis.
Premier League Debut & FA Cup Renewal
While this marks M Plus’ debut season as the Premier League rights holder in Macau, the FA Cup is a renewal. FA Cup coverage will begin from the third round and continue through to the final.
The new season kicks off August 15, with defending champions Liverpool facing Bournemouth in the opener.
Expanded Distribution Through Partnerships
M Plus is teaming up with Macau Cable Television (MCTV) to broadcast matches across four dedicated sports channels, broadening accessibility for local viewers.
In addition, M Plus is partnering with licensed commercial venues — including bars, restaurants, and hotels — to show matches on-site, creating more touchpoints for fans to watch live action.
The agreement also sees Macau Slot, the territory’s legal sports betting operator, collaborate with M Plus on its English football coverage.
Growing Sports Portfolio
Since its launch in 2017, M Plus has built one of Macau’s most extensive football rights portfolios, holding coverage for LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, J.League, and A-League, alongside NBA rights in the region.
In mainland China, Premier League streaming rights for the new cycle (2025-26 to 2027-28) have shifted from iQiyi Sports to Migu, a subsidiary of China Mobile, while M Plus retains exclusive coverage for Macau.
