In a major move for sustainable motorsport, Extreme H — the world’s first hydrogen-powered racing series — has confirmed a multi-year broadcast partnership with Warner Bros Discovery (WBD). The upcoming championship will be featured across WBD’s extensive platform network, including Eurosport, Discovery+, HBO Max, and TNT Sports.
A Multi-Platform European Rollout
When Extreme H launches later this year, fans across Europe will be able to follow the action via:
- Eurosport, the leading pan-European sports broadcaster
- Discovery+, in markets including Germany, Italy, the UK, and Ireland
- HBO Max, for viewers in Belgium and the Netherlands
- TNT Sports, covering the UK and Ireland
This marks the continuation of WBD’s long-term support for electric and hydrogen racing innovation, having first partnered with the original Extreme E series at its inception in 2021.

What’s Next for Viewers
While Extreme H is currently slated to launch in late 2025, its broadcast rollout will evolve in tandem with WBD’s broader streaming consolidation. WBD is preparing to unify its platforms under the HBO Max banner, though a phased rollout means that coverage of Extreme H will remain split across regional platforms until 2026.
As a result:
- Max will serve as the streaming hub in France, Greece, Nordics, Iberia, and parts of Central and Eastern Europe.
- Discovery+ will continue to operate in the UK, Ireland, Germany, and Italy until HBO Max fully launches across all European markets.
