ESPN and Fox to Launch Discounted Streaming Bundle for Sports Fans

Disney’s ESPN and Fox Corporation are joining forces to offer their soon-to-launch direct-to-consumer streaming services as part of a bundled package, aiming to capture more viewers ahead of the busy fall sports season.

Both ESPN’s new streaming app and Fox’s Fox One will debut on August 21, just in time for college football and the NFL. Starting October 2, the two services will also be available together for $39.99 per month — a notable discount from their separate prices of $29.99 for ESPN and $19.99 for Fox One.

While the bundle offers broader sports coverage, the two platforms will differ in scope. ESPN’s app will include live coverage from its TV channels such as ESPN2 and SEC Network, ABC sports programming, fantasy sports tools, betting integrations, studio shows, and documentaries. It will also be available in a Disney streaming bundle with Disney+ and Hulu for $35.99 per month, with a promotional first-year rate of $29.99 per month.

The sports giant has been expanding its content portfolio, recently securing U.S. rights to major WWE events including WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam from 2026. ESPN has also struck a deal with the NFL to acquire the NFL Network and other league media assets.

Fox One, by contrast, will deliver live content from Fox’s broadcast and pay TV networks — spanning sports, news, and entertainment — but will not feature exclusive programming. This marks Fox’s latest push into streaming after shelving its earlier joint sports venture, Venu, with Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery.

Executives from both companies have expressed a focus on partnerships to maximize value for subscribers. “Announcing ESPN as our first bundle partner is evidence of our desire to deliver the best possible value and viewing experience to our shared customers,” said Tony Billetter, SVP of strategy and business development for Fox’s direct-to-consumer division.
