BeIN Sports Secures French Broadcast Rights for FIBA EuroBasket 2025

BeIN Sports has strengthened its basketball portfolio in France by securing the rights to broadcast the FIBA EuroBasketmen’s national team tournament. The Qatar-based pay-TV network will deliver extensive coverage of the competition, which takes place from August 27 to September 14 across Latvia, Finland, Poland, and Cyprus.

French basketball fans will be able to watch all national team fixtures on BeIN, with Les Bleus drawn in the group stage alongside Belgium, Slovenia, Iceland, Poland, and Israel.

The tournament, featuring 24 participating nations, will also be partially broadcast by TF1, which acquired a multi-year deal in May covering FIBA events, including the 2025 and 2029 editions of EuroBasket. The 2029 tournament is confirmed to be hosted jointly by Estonia, Greece, Slovenia, and Spain.

France’s Rising Profile in International Basketball

While France has lifted the EuroBasket trophy only once — in 2013 — the team has consistently been a medal contender at the World Championships and Olympic Games in recent years. With a roster stacked with top-tier talent, they enter this year’s competition as one of the tournament favourites, alongside reigning champions Spain.

BeIN’s basketball coverage in France already includes the NBA, showcasing several stars who also feature for the national team, further enhancing its appeal to French fans.
