Fubo Expands DAZN Partnership to Canada

US-based sports streaming platform FuboTV has expanded its partnership with DAZN, extending a carriage deal to include Canada after first announcing the arrangement in the US earlier this year.

The agreement will see DAZN Canada carry the Fubo Sports Network linear channel, while Fubo integrates DAZN’s live sports content — including exclusive rights — across its platform.

What the Deal Means for Fans

Through the partnership, Canadian fans will enjoy:

  • Bundled access: DAZN subscribers will be able to access Fubo Sports Network alongside their DAZN package.
  • Premium rights coverage: DAZN brings exclusive access to competitions like the Premier LeagueSerie ANFLBundesligaUEFA European soccer, and top boxing events.
  • Comprehensive sports content: Fubo subscribers can purchase DAZN as a standalone service or bundled with Fubo’s plans, ensuring flexibility.
  • 24/7 boxing coverage: DAZN’s dedicated Ringside channel will also be available to Fubo Canada users at no additional cost.

Deidra Dionne, Vice President of DAZN Canada, framed the deal as a landmark step:

“By combining content from two powerhouse platforms, we’re creating one of the most comprehensive sports lineups available — whether you’re following the NFL, UEFA Champions League, or Premier League, it is now all in one place.”

Strategic Context

This deal in Canada builds on the June 2025 partnership in the US, where DAZN’s linear channel DAZN1 joined FuboTV, and the Fubo Sports FAST channel was added to DAZN’s service.

At the same time, DAZN is experimenting with flexible subscription models, such as the newly launched MyClubPassin Italy, where fans can subscribe specifically to matches of their chosen Serie A club at €30 per month or €329 annually. This move highlights DAZN’s growing emphasis on personalized sports consumption models.

Why This Matters?

At 365247 Media, we view the expanded Fubo-DAZN tie-up as part of a broader strategic convergence trend in sports streaming. Three key insights emerge:

  1. Aggregation is the Future
Sports fans increasingly demand all-in-one access points. By combining DAZN’s premium rights portfolio with Fubo’s streaming footprint, the deal reduces fragmentation and enhances convenience.
  2. Cross-Market Scaling
Starting in the US and now expanding into Canada, this partnership reflects a scalable model for rights distribution, where regional synergies create stronger value propositions for fans and advertisers.
  3. Experimentation with Bundling and Flexibility
DAZN’s introduction of MyClubPass in Italy, alongside partnerships like this one, shows how customization and bundling are shaping the next era of sports subscriptions. Fans want choice — whether team-specific, league-focused, or bundled.
