In a move that merges sports spectacle with national celebration, the White House is set to stage its first-ever UFC eventin 2026 as part of the United States’ 250th anniversary on 4 July.
The announcement came from UFC President Dana White, who has maintained a long-standing relationship with President Donald Trump dating back to the early days of the promotion. According to White, discussions with the President and Ivanka Trump are underway to finalise the details, with renderings already prepared for potential layouts.
A First for the White House
While the UFC has held events in some of the largest arenas in the world, this will be the first time its signature octagonal cage is set up within White House grounds. Early concepts include constructing an outdoor fight venue capable of hosting up to 25,000 attendees.
The event is expected to be one of the marquee moments in a year-long celebration, which will also feature special programs at national parks and historic sites across the country.

For the UFC, this represents more than a one-off fight night — it’s an opportunity to position the brand at the heart of a global media moment.
