In a strategic step toward long-term fan engagement and digital transformation, Lega Nazionale Pallacanestro (LNP) has entered into a five-year partnership with Deltatre to relaunch its direct-to-consumer streaming platform, LNP Pass.
First introduced in 2015 as Italy’s inaugural basketball-specific streaming platform, LNP Pass is being fundamentally reimagined for 2025 and beyond. The new iteration will be powered by Deltatre’s proprietary D3 VOLT technology suite—an integrated solution that blends scalability, personalization, and cross-platform functionality. Fans will now be able to stream live and on-demand content seamlessly across web, mobile (iOS and Android), and connected TV apps (Apple TV, Android TV, Samsung TV).
But the partnership goes deeper than tech. Deltatre will provide full-spectrum strategic support—ranging from digital infrastructure to growth marketing and commercialization strategy. LNP’s objective is clear: evolve from a broadcaster of games into a data-rich, sustainable media business.
By leveraging first-party data and real-time audience analytics, the upgraded LNP Pass promises tailored viewing experiences, while giving the league more insight into fan behavior, content consumption patterns, and monetisation opportunities. This aligns with the broader shift in sports from mass-market distribution to hyper-personalized digital ecosystems.

The move comes at a time of broader consolidation in the digital streaming space. Earlier this month, Deltatre announced the acquisition of Endeavor Streaming, a specialist OTT provider, in a deal that will merge Endeavor’s Vesper platformwith Deltatre’s existing tools. The integration will fuse product development, consulting, and direct-to-consumer growth into one unified engine—potentially redefining the global OTT landscape.
For LNP, the stakes are high. With over 1,200 games streamed annually across its leagues, the quality and accessibility of its digital product will directly impact fan loyalty, commercial growth, and league visibility—especially in a competitive sports market like Italy.
This partnership signals a pivotal moment for second-tier leagues worldwide: the DTC revolution isn’t just for the elite anymore. If done right, LNP’s new streaming era could become a model for how niche leagues build commercial muscle and audience intimacy through tech-first, fan-centric strategy.
