England 2026: Secutix to Power Ticketing Infrastructure for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup

As women’s sport continues to scale new commercial and cultural peaks, the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England is shaping up to be a landmark tournament—not just on the field, but behind the scenes. In a major operational move, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has appointed Secutix as its official ticketing services partner for the event.

This partnership will place Secutix at the heart of the tournament’s logistical backbone, overseeing ticketing operations across 33 matches and 12 competing nations. Crucially, the agreement includes the installation of a dedicated head of ticketing for the duration of the tournament, underscoring the event’s scale and ambition.

But this is more than just a tech contract—it’s a signal of how global women’s events are being professionalized and structurally future-proofed.

A Tournament, Engineered for Experience

Secutix will not only manage ticket sales and fulfillment but will also lead on payment systems, venue operations, and on-the-ground fan support through its FAN4LIFE division, a service architecture tailored specifically to large-scale sporting events. This integrated approach will allow the ECB to focus on broader objectives—matchday innovation, commercial activations, and audience engagement—while ensuring the back-end experience is seamless.

The 2026 tournament will span seven venues, including some of England’s most iconic cricket grounds such as Lord’sOld Trafford, and Headingley, running from June 12 to July 5.

A Strategic Choice, Not a First-Time Partnership

This isn’t new territory for Secutix. The Switzerland-headquartered tech company has quietly become a leading force in cricket venue management across the UK. It currently services every ECB Division One county except one and has deep integration across clubs including LancashireSomersetSurrey, and Nottinghamshire—all of whom will play host during the Women’s World Cup.

Secutix also provides solutions for The Hundred, the ECB’s short-format innovation aimed at modernising cricket consumption and attracting new demographics.

In 2024, Edgbaston, another host venue for the 2026 World Cup, renewed its long-standing relationship with Secutix, affirming trust in the firm’s capability to deliver under pressure. Beyond the UK, Secutix has supported ICC operations at the Men’s T20 World Cup, further solidifying its global event credentials.

Ticketing as a Strategic Lever

This isn’t merely a functional deal—it’s a strategic infrastructure play. As women’s sport sees rising investment, the architecture that supports fan experience, data capture, and commercial conversion becomes just as important as on-pitch performance.

In securing a platform partner like Secutix, the ECB is acknowledging that ticketing is no longer just about transactions—it’s about insight, engagement, and loyalty. In an increasingly competitive attention economy, the ability to deliver seamless, emotionally resonant fan journeys will separate merely “successful” tournaments from iconic ones.

Expect the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup to be a defining showcase of what tech-enabled women’s sport can look like at scale.
